Lucknow thankful to its elders on International Elders’ day :Oct 1 

On October 1st,2017, Om Seawa Sankalp celebrated the International Day for Elders at Sheroes Hangout in Gomtinagar. The event was named as Growing Grace , in which the founder of Om Sewa Sankalp. Herein, Mrs. Manjula Srivastava and her team felicitated the elders of the city.

Felicitation of elders:

• Most noteworthy is the fact that amongst the many, were Begum Hamida Habibullah and Swaroop Kumari Bakshi.
• The event started with Mrs. Manjula Srivastava welcoming the guests.
• Furthermore, the Begum Hamida Habibullah and Swaroop Kumari Bakshi lit the lamp.
• Speaking on the issues related to the elders in the present world, Begum sahiba credited Om Sewa Sankalp in extending exemplary services.
• In addition, Mrs. Bakshi praised Mrs. Manjula’s passion for service to the elderly and her compassion for the poor ladies working in their
• organisation and said that such were the people needed to make the world a better place.
• Mrs. Manjula felicitated the elders with Ang vastra and bouquets and
• mentioned that her gratitude to the elders want beyond any material things and she and the world could never thank the elders enough.
• The Master of Ceremony for the evening Mrs. Sandhya Rastogi added the right notes at the right time
• and briefly covered the life achievements of Begum Sahiba and Mrs. Swaroop Kumari Bakshi.
• She also briefed the audiencec towards the excellent  passion and
• dedication of Mrs. Manjula Srivastava that led to the establishment of
• Om Sewa Sankalp and teh excellent services  that the organisation is extending to the elders in Lucknow.

Young generation need to get involved :

• Mrs. Manjula speaking on the future plans of the organisation said,
• “A great need of today’s time is to provide a facility where the younger generation could feel free to travel on business or pleasure having the peace of mind that their beloved elders are well provide for a holiday home for elders.”
• In addition she went to say that such a facility will be coming before very soon in the city like Indore and Noida .
• Furthermore, the evening progressed to a wholesome and soul stirring string of feature programs excellently directed by the notable theater personality and director Mrs. Chhitra Mohan.
• The features included short skit based on Budhi Kaki , a story by Musnshi Prem chandra and song renditions by various artists.
• Indeed the evening came as a welcome breath of fresh air to the participating elders.
