Manjari’s Institute of Music & Fine Arts (MIMFA), Lucknow, a unit of MIMFA Foundation, Lucknow an NGO is organizing ‘INGENUITY – an art week-S4’, under which an art exhibition was held at Phoenix United Mall, 5th Floor, Kanpur Road, Lucknow on 7th April (Saturday).
Exhibition:
- This exhibition will continue from 7th April to 12th April, 2018.
- And displays are being put up by students from all their branches as well as from other schools.
- On 8th April (Sunday) MIMFA conducted art related competitions.
- Such as face painting; collage making; cloth murals; poster making & best out of waste for different age groups, entry for which is FREE.
- The exhibition started after ribbon cutting & lighting of the lamp by Chief Guest, Hon’ble Ms. Sanyukta Bhatia, Mayor, Lucknow and Guest of Honour Mr. Ravi Bhatt, Historian, Lucknow.
- Special Guests on this occasion would be Ms. Manju Srivastava; Mr. Shailendra Singh; Mrs. & Mr. Ajaish Jaiswal.
- There is also a panel of judges for the art exhibition comprising of Ms. Anita Narayan; Ms. Mansi Didwani; Mr. Anurag Didwani; Ms. Vinita Kumari Shekhawat; Mr. Awadhesh Mishra ; Ms. Leena Mishra & Mr. Ravi Kapoor.
Judgement:
- Judgment for art exhibition and competition will be done in 3 categories i.e. groups A, B & C.
- Each group will have winners for 1st , 2nd & 3rd prize, and 2 consolation prizes as per the judgment.
- Results will be announced on 12th April as well as prizes will be distributed thereafter.
- Approximately 135 students participated in the exhibition and approximately 180 students participated in the competition.
To name a few paintings : An acrylic painting of Radha Krishna made by Preeti Pandey of Group C, depicting their togetherness. A “nature painting” made by Akash Jaiswal of Group C, depicting a range of mountains covered with snow. He has used oil colours to depicit raw beauty of mother nature and different types of knives to give special effects. Ananyaa Dixit; Group B from CMS “Rainy Day – Women of New York”. It depicts a woman taking shelter under an umbrella on a rainy night in New York city using oil colours and palette knives to create different textures and shades. Aatreyi Dixit Group A from City Montessori School has made a madhubani painting depicting the power of sun using acrylic paints. Ayushi Gupta of Group C “Nature & a Girl” using acrylic colours, has shown nature’s real beauty which is magnificient . To give flowing effects different types of brushes have been used. Kingshuk Manjee Group B, from Seth MR Jaipuria School has made an acrylic painting of Lord Shiva in a meditation posture.
Cultural event:
On this occasion a small cultural event will also be organized; wherein a vocal performance will be rendered by some selected students Vocal : Saraswati vandana :’ Vandana ke in swaron mein ek swar mera mila lo’. Guru : Ms.Vandana Gupta. Participants : Kartik; Ananya; Samriddhi; Mishika; Mahak; Shekhar; Shezal; Shinjini; Aamina; Anushka.
