Actress Vidya Balan is all set to play the actor politician Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao’s (NTR) wife Basavatarakam, in a biopic.
On Wednesday, Taran Adarsh confirmed the casting of Vidya Balan opposite NTR’s son Nandamuri Balakrishna, who plays the role of his father onscreen.

The film is based on NTR.
The multi-talented personality was an Indian actor, producer, director, editor and politician.
He served seven years as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.
The actor has even received three National Film Awards for co-producing ‘Thodu Dongalu’ (1954) and ‘Seetharama Kalyanam’ (1960) and directing ‘Varakatnam’ (1970).
The director of the Biopic is Krish.
The filmmaker has known for delivering films like Gauthamiputra Satakarni, Gamyam and Vedam.
Apart from this biopic, Krish is also directing Kangana Ranaut starrer Manikarnika.
The movie is based on the life of Queen of Jhansi Rani Laxmi Bai.

NTR launch in different style;
The film went on floors in March when Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu hit the clapboard for the opening shot in Hyderabad.
Balkrishna was dressed as Duryodhana from his NTR’s 1977 film Daana Veera Soora Karna.
Vidya Balan’s last film was Tumhari Sullu.
The film was a commercial success and the female lead also bagged awards and accolades for her amazing portrayal of RJ Sulu.
NTR biopic will be produced by Balakrishna, Sai Korrapati and Vishnu Vardhan Induri.
They are also co-producing the Hindi version which is titled 1983 biopic.
