Recently the Mumbai Police had filed a case against the comedy group AIB. The controversy surrounding the group reached another level when congress misters started posting pictures on twitter using the dog filter.
What was the controversy?
- Mumbai police filed an FIR against the comedy collective All India Bakchod (AIB) for posting a meme. The meme showed PM Narendra Modi with dog filter and also a photo of his lookalike staring at his phone.
- AIB posted this meme a few days back on twitter.
- In addition the post created furor on twitter.
- Modi bhakts after seeing the dog face,started putting pressure on Mumbai police to file an FIR
- Furthermore AIB posted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s picture with the filter.
- The post was later deleted by Thursday evening.
- After which AIB co-founder Tanmay Bhat expressed his disappointment in a tweet.
- The tweet read : “PS: Will continue making jokes. And deleting if necessary. making jokes again. And Apologizing if necessary. Don’t care what you think.”

Reaction of Congress leaders
- Congress leader Shashi Tharoor and Trinamool Congress MP Derek O’ Brien posted pictures with dog filters on twitter later on Saturday.
- Furthermore the leaders were seen protecting AIB’s freedom of speech.
- Shashi Tharoor posted a picture with dog filter and caption “Attn all trolls: I took the #DogFilter challenge! @AllIndiaBakchod”
- Congress’ MP from Thiruvananthapuram posted the image after being prodded by several people on Twitter.
