Sushant Singh Rajput started his career with television serials. He then entered films with a role as one of the three male leads in the drama Kai Po Che! (2013), for which he received critical acclaim as well as three Best Male Debut awards.
Sushant Singh is called humble, and different than other actors by his fans. He held a surprise Q and A session with this fans on Twitter on Tuesday, during interaction with a fan he said, he too thinks twice before tweeting, as long as we are thinking, we are good. when tweeting at one fan who complimented the actor for his motivational and inspiring tweets he said, he too thinks twice before tweeting, “I also have to think twice before tweeting, as long as we are thinking, we are good.”
He talked to his fans about every topic he can guide them like science, physics and books, he encouraged some of them for their upcoming exams and responded to their compliments, the Kai Poche actor said, “What makes someone a star and someone a fan, I would never know. We like talking to each other and that’s rare and a reason enough.”
Recently Sushant Singh Rajput was part of an interactive session for Bioscope at the 48th International Film Festival of India on Monday.
There he talked about his engineering years and how he worked through being a dancer to a big screen star. He said, “I couldn’t express myself properly. Even when I tried it always used to feel as if something is missing.”
Sushant Singh Rajput was at the time aiming to become an engineer but wanted to do more in life, “At first, I thought I probably won’t have to make use of the skill anyways because I was studying to become an engineer then and I was a good student. Coincidently I joined a dance school, and when I was performing on stage I had the feeling that maybe yes I can communicate. When I could see audience getting affect by what I was doing on stage; I realized I could communicate without words. That was the start when I thought let’s try using words now and I started with theater.”
Sushant Singh Rajput decided to do only what he was good at doing. He dropped out of engineering and devoted himself full-time to dancing and acting. Sushant moved to Mumbai, joined Nadira Babbar’s Ekjute theatre group and remained a part of it for two and a half years. After an award-winning performance in the soap opera Pavitra Rishta (2009–2011) and as a participant in two dance reality shows Sushant Singh Rajput make a break into films, his notable films since then have been as male lead of the romantic comedy Shuddh Desi Romance (2014) and as the titular detective in the thriller Detective Byomkesh Bakshy! (2015). In 2016, Rajput appeared in Sports drama M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story, in which he essayed the role of Indian cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the film was a commercial success and earned him critical acclaim.
As of July 2017, Rajput is filming for Tarun Mansukhani’s action comedy Drive opposite Jacqueline Fernandez. Rajput will appear in a science-fiction space film ‘Chanda Mama Door Ke’ along with Shraddha Kapoor, R. Madhavan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Later in 2018, Rajput will appear in Abhishek Kapoor’s Kedarnath, opposite newcomer Sara Ali Khan, slated to release in June 2018.
