Filmmaker Raj Kumar Gupta, who is currently basking in the success of his latest offering, Ajay Devgn-starrer Raid has begun research work of his another movie. The director whose thriller Aamir and No One Killed Jessica were loved by audience and critics alike has purchased the film rights to the story of a RAW agent, Ravinder Kaushik.

Nicknamed as the ‘Black Tiger’, Kaushik operated undercover in Pakistan and died at the age of 47 in prison.
The 23-year-old Kaushik spoke Urdu fluently and was sent to Pakistan as Nabi Ahmed Shakir after being trained in Delhi for two years. He entered Pakistan Army as a civilian clerk and gradually attained the rank of a Major. He also married a local girl during his stint. Between 1972-1983, he gave relevant information of Pakistani army to RAW.

”The life of one of India’s greatest spies makes for an interesting film. He was a theatre actor before he caught the attention of intelligence officials, who spotted him performing at a national-level dramatics meet in Lucknow. Raj Kumar is presently scripting the film and has been interacting with Ravinder’s mother, Amladevi, and brother since the last six-seven months.”
Raj Kumar Gupta will begin shooting for it after he wraps up his action-thriller, Most Wanted. It is a story based on real-life mission to nab a wanted terrorist.
The film will go on floors next month.
