“Taanji-the unsung hero”
- Superstar Ajay Devgn just released the first poster of his new movie, Taanaji, based on Maratha warrior Subedar Taanaji Malusare.
- Furthermore, “Taanaji” will be directed by Om Raut, who recently won the filmfare award for the best debut director.
- The star announced the same in a tweet on July 19th.
- The tweet read, “Can’t wait to share with you’ll something very exciting that we have been working on lately! Out at midnight.”
- “Golmaal” actor released the first poster on social media.
- In addition, he wrote, “He fought for his People, his Soil & his King Chhatrapati Shivaji. The unsung warrior of glorious Indian history, Subedar Taanaji Malusare”

- In the poster, Ajay is donning a Maratha warrior outfit, standing with his shield and sword in the battle field, bravely facing the archery onslaught coming his way.
- Furthermore, the poster is intense and promises an enriching war historic drama.
- Om Raut in addition has directed critically and commercially successful film Lokmanya: Ek Yug Purush, which won him the Filmfare Award.
- He has already begun work on magnum opus period-action film, ‘Taanaji-The Unsung Warrior’, the film is slated to release in 2019.
- Ajay Devng has an interesting line-up of releases coming up in 2017.
- He will be starting with Baadshaho, which is directed by Milan Luthria and releasing on 1st September 2017.
