The model-turned-actor Diana Penty who made her Bollywood debut in 2012 with Cocktail, is ready to make you laugh again with Happy Phir Bhaag Jayegi which is the sequel of 2016 Happy Bhag Jayegi.
Box office success definitely matters: Diana Penty
This IIFA 2018 when Diana was asked about her choice of movies she said “There are some films that you know will do well. Then there are others which have good stories that ought to be told. But because they are slightly risky, not everybody is willing to take that up”.
She added “But I think it is important to take risks because at the end of the day, you want to explore new genres and new characters”.
Diana last appeared in Parmanu: The Story Of Pokhran opposite John Abrahan.
Parmanu was critically praised and was a hit at the box office.
On this success of Parmanu she said “Box office success definitely matters. I will be lying if I say it does not matter. At the end of the day, there is a lot of money that gets put into films”.
She further said “Plus you want it to do good and don’t want it to lose any money. A lot of hard work goes into making a film”.
Happy Phir Bhaag Jayegi Will Be ‘Unique’:
On the sequel of Happy bhaag jayegi Diana told “If you like the first one, you will also like the second one. It’s the same space. It is funny, crazy and sweet. It’s a joyride. It is funnier than the first one. It feels good that a film is good enough for the makers to consider a part two. I feel proud when I think of that.”
“I don’t think it is that much pressure or anything. It’s a unique story and director Mudassar Aziz really aced it. I feel it is even funnier than the first one”
Happy Bhaag Jayegi featured Diana Penty, Jimmy Sheirgill, Ali Fazal, Abhay Deol and Momal Sheikh.
And now the sequel stars the same starcast of happy bhaag jayegi but the new entry to the film are Sonakshi Sinha, Jassi Gill and Aparshakti Khurrana.
Diana chooses her films wisely thats the reason that she has done few movies in bollywood.
Her career includes films like Cocktail, Happy Bhaag Jayegi, Lucknow Central and Parmanu: The Story Of Pokhran and now she will be seen in Happy Bhaag Jayegi.
