Gulshan Devaiah : Success of Smoke web-series goes to the story.
Actor Gulshan Devaiah says that the success credit for Smoke web-series goes to the story and the thought with which the series is made.
Bollywood actor Gulshan Devaiah, popular for his role in films like Hunterrr, Shaitaan, Death In The Gunj and Ram-Leela among others, is all set to step into the digital world with Eros Now original web series Smoke.
Smoke web-series is about greed and power and revolves around people living in Goa.
The series is produced by Hamari Film Company which is headed by Kumud Shahi, Faisal Malik and Bhavya Nidhi Sharma.
Hamari Film Company, on the success of the Web series threw a small party for the cast and crew.
The event was also graced Kalki Koechlin, Mandira Bedi, Jim Sarbh, Amit Sial, Gulshan Devaiah, Satyadeep Mishra, Neal Bhoopalam, Prakash Belawadi and some TV celebs like Sheban Azim, Aishwarya Sakhuja, Sharad Kelkar, Sharad Tripathi.
Talking about the success of Smoke, Gulshan said, “The credit for the success of the series goes to the story and the thought with which people wanted to make it. Makers didn’t want to make it because they can, but wanted to do it with quality and take this genre in a new direction”.
Digital Platform is fast becoming popular means of entertainment for the masses, which pundits of trade predicts threatens the Cinema business but Gulshan believe that both will co-exist.
Talking about Digital Platform and Cinema, Gulshan said, “The business model of web-series is different than cinema; it doesn’t run of box-office because its consumption is different.I think this space is opening slowly, and I will like to add that digital platform and cinema will co-exist. No one or nothing can strangle cinema, the magic of cinema will live forever”
Gulshan also divulged little sneak-peek information into his forthcoming action genre film Commando 3, also starring Vidyut Jammwal and Adah Sharma.
He said, “My next film is Commando 3, for which we have completed half of the film.
The next schedule will start from next month”
