The mad family of television, Khichdi is all set to be back on the tube. The show will go on air from April 14, 2018, and is returning after almost a decade.

Today, the show was launched in the city and the whole cast including Anang Desai, Rajeev Mehta, Supriya Pathak Kapur, Vandana Pathak along with the creators JD Majethia and Aatish Kapadia marked their presence.
During the media interaction when JD was asked about the details of the show, he stated:
“When it used to air earlier, it was for half an hour and on public demand, we made the movie. Then we decided that Khichdi pet bhar khaayo. Khichdi will now come on Saturday and Sunday – one hour each. It will have 20 episodes.”

That’s indeed exciting!
Talking about the clash with IPL, Majethia earlier told a leading daily, “I believe that IPL will bring in a new audience for my show. Cricket and comedy can co-exist. Whenever there is a break in the match or it gets boring, people like to tune in to comedy shows. I know usually there is a drop of 10 to 15 percent during IPL but since we are on the same network that will telecast the matches, it will work for us.”
In Khichdi, there will be a lot of cameos in the show.
Actors like Renuka Shahane, Ratna Pathak Shah and Deepshika Nagpal will be seen adding more fun in every episode.
