Varun Dhawan, Ranveer Singh, Parineeti Chopra and Jacqueline Fernandez were supposed to make the opening night of the Indian Premiere League’s 11th season a memorable one. But unfortunately, owing to his injury, Ranveer Singh had to bow out at the last minute.
Rumours were rife that Hrithik Roshan had been approached in his place and turns out the story is true after all.
The actor has already begun rehearsing his act, which we are pretty sure, will be FAB! He is learning the moves from Shiamak Davar. A picture with the actor and the choreographer and their team is going viral and we are extremely excited about it.
Ranveer has issued a statement regarding his inability to participate in the event.
IANS quoted his spokesperson as saying, “After multiple medical checkups, the doctors have strongly advised Ranveer Singh not to perform at this year’s IPL opening ceremony in which he was doing the grand finale act. They feel his high-energy performance would only over-strain his shoulder and aggravate the injury.” It is definitely sad that we won’t be able to see him perform, because in 2016, he had set the stage on fire with his Malhari act. He had later also joined Dwayne Bravo and Katrina Kaif on stage for some more fun.
