During media interaction, Juhi revealed that she will be next seen in Vidhu Vinod Chopra production. She talked to media on a book launch of filmmaker and writer Jyotin Goel’s ‘Bheem-Destiny’s Warrior’ on Thursday in Mumbai.
In answer to the question of her upcoming projects she said,”I am doing a film. It will go on floors from January next year and film’s shoot will end in March. It’s a Vidhu Vinod Chopra production.”
Juhi also talked about the book, she said,”When I read this book that time, I didn’t wanted to stop reading it. It was so interesting. It’s a thriller and a true page turner”.
In answer to the question of her plan about her autobiography she said,”I have given thought about this because once a publisher approached me for my autobiography. They said you wouldn’t have to do anything, you just have to speak about your life and experiences, we will record that and then we will compile it all. At one point, I thought it would be interesting because there are many things which people know about me and there are also many things which I haven’t shared. I have had very eventful life but I don’t see that happen as of now because it needs time and you need discipline to do that and you need to be focused to write a book and I don’t have that focus as of now so I will wait for some time but at one point, I definitely want to come up with my autobiography”
.
When the question about the title rose, she said,”I had something loosely in my mind. It’s not the name of my own film but it will be something like ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham’ It’s got to be with laughter and tears because people have seen me very chirpy and doing mad things in films but I have also had very close experience with life and death so there is lot I have seen in my life”.
Juhi also talked about her views on ‘Padmavati’ controversy where fringe outfits have given death threats to Deepika Padukone , Juhi said, “Let me clear that I will not speak about ‘Padmavati’ the film. It is just about death threats to an actress. I will be reacting on that. I feel giving death threat to an actress is not right. Audience goes mad for the same heroine when they see her in other films and they give her so much love and support then after that, giving death threat to same actress is not right. At the end of the day films are made by directors and their team. An actor or an actress is just playing their character so just for that reason I would say we should be little sensitive and should have patient about that issue. We shouldn’t flair up and say things like that and that too a woman”
.
She also added, “I visited Jaipur recently for a wedding function and their I met Rajmata of Jaipur so, she was talking to me about films and how other film like ‘Jodha Akbar’ was made which was also based on a Rajput woman and we also talked about ‘Padmavati’ but one thing that she said was stuck to my mind is that how many of us read a book or take interest in history ? I feel film is one such medium which is consumed by almost everyone so whatever you show onscreen, it actually stays in the memory people and it stays for many years and that you don’t realize so film subject which deals with history or mythology stays in mind of especially younger generation because they are going to connect with the film and believe whatever you show them so we should do it responsibly”
