I don’t intend to overwork myself, work hard when it’s required: Manisha Koirala

Famous Bollywood actress Manisha Koirala talks about her life, film career, physical illness and many more. Manisha’s break from work came after she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2012.

She took five years gap and then came back with film ‘Dear Maya’ in 2017. Currently, Manisha is appearing in Netflix’s ‘Lust Stories’. Lust Stories is a digital series directed by four International directors – Karan Johar, Zoya Akhtar, Anurag Kashyap and Dibakar Banerjee.

Manisha Koirala will be seen in Rajkumar Hirani’s directorial SANJU. She is playing the role of Nargis Dutt ( Sanjay Dutt’s Mother). Manisha Koirala is looking promising in Sanju’s poster and song ‘KAR HAR MAIDAN FATEH’. This film will be her first big budget film after her comeback.

Recently, she talks about her struggle and working style to media. “I don’t intend to overwork myself. I intend to take it easy – work hard when it’s required. I am having the best time of my life,” Manisha Said.

I’ve been there done that. We are in a profession of ‘out of sight out of mind’, so one tends to be all the time on a roll. I had those tendencies initially in my career. Now I’m mindful about not getting into that space. When you’re in your 20s, you’ve more energy and zeal. But in your 40s, you want to take it at a slower pace. Your world view changes, you become a different person,” she added.

“We were confined to certain stereotype. Today, the canvas has become wider. One can experiment with offers, people like the movies, there’s much more scope now than what we had.” said Manisha.

Manisha Koirala is one the finest actress of her time. She has worked with Anil kapoor, Ajay Devgan and Aamir Khan. Not only in Hindi, she has worked in Nepali and South Indian Movies too. We are eagerly waiting to see her in ‘Sanju’ as Nargis Dutt. Sanju is releasing on 29th of June.
