ICC Picks Master Blaster’s Five Best Cricket World Cup Knocks On Sachin Tendulkar’s Birthday
Sachin Tendulkar turns 46 today, April 24th the cricket world is celebrating his birthday.
Cricket’s covering body, International Cricket Council (ICC), also celebrated Master Blaster’s birthday.
ICC took to Twitter and shared a post on the occasion of Sachin Tendulkar’s birthday with its followers.

Apart from it, ICC also picked Sachin Tendulkar’s five best World Cup knocks and published a detailed feature on it on their official website.
The five innings’ ICC selected spanned from Cricket World Cup 1996 to Tendulkar’s last World Cup in 2011.
Out of Tendulkar’s five best knocks, selected by ICC, two came against traditional-rivals Pakistan. And one each against Australia, Kenya, and England.

90 vs Australia, ICC Cricket World Cup 1996, Mumbai:
While chasing 259 at Mumbai, Sachin Tendulkar scored 90 off 84 balls while opening the innings.
Despite Tendulkar’s blazing knock, India lost the match by 16 runs.
During this knock, Tendulkar smashed 14 fours and a six as he entertained the home crowd.
140* v Kenya, ICC Cricket World Cup 1999, Bristol:
Coming in at number four, Tendulkar slammed unbeaten 140 against.
Relatively weaker bowling side. Tendulkar’s 140 was decorated with 16 fours and three sixes.
During this knock, Tendulkar shared 237-run stand for the third wicket with Rahul Dravid.

98 v Pakistan, ICC Cricket World Cup 2003, Centurion:
Against a bowling attack which featured Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis, and Shoaib Akhtar, Tendulkar stood tall and scored 98 off just 75 balls as he helped India chase down 274.
120 v England, ICC Cricket World Cup 2011, Bengaluru:
In a high-scoring thriller, Tendulkar smashed 120 off 115 balls while opening the innings.
He picked ten fours and five sixes during his stay at the crease.
India ended with 338 on board and England matched it to secure a tie after Andre Strauss’s 158.
85 v Pakistan, ICC Cricket World Cup 2011, Chandigarh:
In a high-profile semi-final, Sachin Tendulkar scored valuable 85 off 155 balls against rivals Pakistan.
The wicket was not that easy to bat on and India kept losing wickets.
Tendulkar held the one end and took his side to 260.
India eventually won the match by 29 runs and sealed their place in the finals.
Sachin Tendulkar, just like his batting record, boasts of a superb World Cup stats and he continues to be the leading run-scorer in World Cup with 2278 runs against his name.
He has scored six centuries in World Cup.
