48th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) has begun at Goa’s capital Panaji.
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan inaugurated the festival at Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Stadium in Bambolim Monday evening.
The galaxy of stars on stage says it all a grand beginning to a grand show as this time IFFI pays its homage to cinematic master spy James Bond, in a special section where nine films featuring leading actors who have essayed the iconic character, were screened.
On the occasion of the opening of the International Film Festival, the film Bandhu and the Uttar Pradesh Government too participated in it. Awanish Awasthi Principal Secretary, Information, promoted the state’s film policy at the festival to attract film producers to. Prince Rao and Radhika Apte too showed their gratitude towards Uttar Pradesh Government.
On this occasion, UP delegations had a conversation with Chief Minister of Goa, Shri Manohar Parrikar, Union Minister Smt. Smriti Irani where she Proclaimed that “It is our Endeavour on behalf of the government of India and the government of Goa that we invite filmmakers from across the world and will do the same for UP,”
Muzaffar Ali, Subhash Ghai, Boney Kapoor, Vishal Bharadwaj and many others too initiated their support and engrossment towards possible collaboration to promote the film industry in Uttar Pradesh.
