Actess Ishita Dutta has got a golden opportunity to showcase her acting talent in Bollywood and that also with the ‘king of comedy’ Kapil Sharma. We are not saying this, this was said by Ishita herself at a store launch of Gitanjali Jewelry on Friday in Mumbai. While interacting with media Ishita states that she feels fortunate to work with Kapil Sharma in ‘Firangi’.
Asking about Kapil’s behaviour with her while doing the fim and her experience while working with such an immense comedian, she said, “I was very excited to work with him because what we see on television, we thought same fun we would be doing on the sets of film with Kapil. It was 83 days of non-stop laughter. He used to play lot of pranks on me and he is someone who always makes people laugh and it’s a really nice thing so I feel fortunate to work with him in ‘Firangi’ where I had great time shooting”.
While talking to media, Ishita also told about her character in the movie’ she said, “I am playing character of Sargi in the film. She is simple village girl. This film is set in 1920s so the kind of body language that era’s women used to have is very different from the contemporary world so I had so much fun playing that character. For the shooting of the film, I first time visited Punjab and the weather food and people of Punjab were amazing so all and all it was learning and enriching experience for me as an actor”.
She also complimented the music of the film and said, “All songs of the film has been released and I think all songs are beautiful and even background score of the film is lovely”.
Well the event was about opening of a jewelry showroom, so is she fond of jewelry, in answer to this question she said, “I love jewellary. I feel not a single would deny her love for jewellary. I love wearing chunky earrings which we launched today and they are simple and delicate. I am glad that I came here at this event and now I am planning to take some home”.
‘Firangi’ stars Kapil Sharma, Ishita Dutta, monica Gill, Aanjjan Srivastav in key roles. The film was shot primarily in Punjab and Rajasthan. It is being directed by Rajiv Dhingra and produced by Kapil Sharma. Initially, the film was set to release on 10 November 2017, however on 12 October 2017 it was announced that the film would be releasing on 24 November 2017. On 21 November, the release date was again postponed due to the delay in obtaining a censor certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification. It will now release on 1 December.
Ishita Dutta:-
Dutta started her acting career with the 2012 Telugu film Chanakyudu, opposite Tanish. Ishita and her sister Tanushree Dutta were to work together in their next film, Yenidu Manasali, directed by Shrikanth H.R. and produced by Niyaaz Ahmed, but it was left incomplete and unreleased. She then played the leading role in the soap opera Ek Ghar Banaunga.
She made her Bollywood debut, playing a supporting role in the 2015 action drama Drishyam alongside actors Ajay Devgn, Tabu and Shriya Saran. She played the role of Ajay Devgn’s daughter.
And now she will be soon sharing screen space with Kapil Sharma in her upcoming period drama film ‘Firangi’.
