Republic Day 2019: Manikarnika Vs Super 30
Manikarnika is the film based on the life of Jhansi’s Rani Laxmibai.
Kangana is playing the role of Rani Laxmibai.
Earlier this film was scheduled to release in September but due to delay because of heavy VFX.
Currently the shoot of the film is complete but the work of VFX is still going on.
A source told the media “Manikarnika shoot is completely over barring three days of shoot that couldn’t be done because Manish Wadhwa was injured. So his portions are left. Apart from that the film’s VFX work is going on.”
They further said “The film of such a large scale relies heavily upon VFX. And the makers of the movie don’t want to compromise on it. So definitely, the september release date of it can’t be met. The new release date is being figured out.”
While Hrithik Roshan’s Super 30 release date is set to release on Republic Day 2019, 26th January.
A source told media “Since the second half of the year is clouded with many big ticket films, there is no proper window that is available for the release. Hence the team is contemplating of releasing it on the Republic Day weekend.”
Manikarnika also starcasts Sonu Sood, Atul Kulkarni and Ankita Lokhande in the supporting roles.
While Super 30 casts Hrithik Roshan and Mrunal Thakur in the lead roles.
If Manikarnika will release on 26th January 2019, than for sure the audience will witness year’s biggest clash.
