Lucknow is not just developing on the architectural and industrial fronts but also on cultural front. The city is blessed with various talents ranging from poetry to stand up comedy,but not every talent gets recognition among the public. In order to provide a stage to these unsung and unappreciated talents, Lucknow experienced its first OPEN MIC session on Sunday.
Some were seen reciting self written poems and shayaris while others made people laugh through there Stand ups. From poems ranging from the pain of first heart break to die-hard patriotism, women empowerment and feminism to humanity each and every performance managed to earn huge applauds.Some of the recitations include Desh Deepak Singh’s “Shabd” ,Fiza Fatima’s “Insaan’, Amit Singh’s “Koi Husn Pari Koi Jan-e-Jahan” and so on. Aisha Ayyub, Shahbaz Talib,Zareen Ansari ,Rizwan Khan,Shaimik joshi and many others also expressed their talents. Lucknow’s first Open Mic session was definitely a successful one.

Lucknow’s first OPEN MIC session
- Lucknow Society Organised Lucknow’s first ever Open Mic session on Sunday,23rd July.
- The event took place at Sheroes Hangout Cafe ,Gomtinagar.
- According to organizer Nadim Siddiqui , Open mic is an effort from his team to provide a stage to those who have talent.
- In addition, he said that in order to establish a person with certain talent,
- it is necessary for him to present his talent in front of public.
- And for the same, he not only needs a stage but also proper audience who can understand and appreciate his efforts.
- Nadeem also said that for the sake of establishing themselves,
- the youth of Lucknow was moving to cities like Delhi and Mumbai.
Present your talent every month
- After seeing the response of the first Open Mic Session, Nadeem and his team are planning to conduct these sessions regularly.
- They have decided to have an Open Mic Session every Forth Sunday of a month.
- Furthermore this will not only provide a stage to writers, poets and other talents but also help gaining them recognition.
