In an recent chat Monali shared her views on opportunities to female singers in bollywood and about her struggle to enter bollywood.
Few opportunities for female singers in bollywood
Monali Thakur got name and fame with her song Sawaar loon from the film Lootera.
She won best female playback singer of the song Sawaar loon.
After this song, she got immense success with song Moh Moh Ke Dhaag.
She won National Award for best female playback singer for Moh Moh Ke dhaage.
Recently in a chat with a media hous, Monali confessed her feeling.
She said “There are fewer opportunities for female singers in Bollywood. Out of a thousand songs created, only 10 songs would be female solo maybe.”
She added and said “Leave that aside completely, where are the opportunities?”
Monali’s Struggle
Monali has also worked in films.
She didi few Bengali movies, and debuted bollywood with film ‘Lakshmi’.
When asked about her experience in bollywood industry she remembered her old days and her journey.
She told “I have struggled a lot. Till now, my journey in Bollywood is no less than a roller-coaster ride, but I am happy the struggle came and taught me how to take care of good times. Struggle is very much important as it will teach you the value of success and fame.”
Her voice will be next heard in film Gold’s song ‘Mono Beena’.
