A lot of actresses including Shraddha Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, Sonakshi Sinha and Fatima Sana Shaikh were approached for the film Sotgun Shaadi, but due to some reason the face was not being finalised.
But finally Parineeti Chopra is finalised to cast opposite Sidharth Malhotra.

Few weeks back rumours were strong that Kriti Sanon will sign the film, but because of her dates she was not able to sign the film.
Kriti is busy with her film ‘Panipat: The Great Betrayal’, she is getting horse riding training for the film.
She is also shooting for ‘Arjun Patyala’.
While Sonakshi Sinha is busy with ‘Kalank’.
Recently news came out that Parineeti is final for the film.
A source told the media “She has given a nod to the makers. She loved the idea and her character. She is going to play the character of a dabang girl in the film”.
Shotgun Shaadi will be the second film of Sidharth and Parinneti together after ‘Hasee Toh Phasee’.
It was a 2014 Romantic-comedy drama.
