After riding high on the success of the Akshay Kumar starrer, Radhika Apte will soon be seen in a World War II spy drama. The film will also feature Stana Katic and Sarah Megan Thomas, according to a report by a leading US-based entertainment portal.
Kriti graced with Dada Saheb Phalke Excellence Award for ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’
The film is set to be based on ‘real’ spies who were a part of Winston Churchill’s ‘secret army.’
Radhika took to Twitter to confirm the news and captioned the post as “Next project”.
The movie revolves around British intelligence officer Vera Atkins, played by Katic, and the two women she sends into France as spies, Khan (Apte) and Virginia Hall (Thomas). The character of Stana Katic has an ulterior motive of her own besides carrying out the mission assigned to her by her bosses, while Sara Meghan Thomas’ character is a brave American woman with a wooden leg, who ultimately comes to be feared by the Nazis.

Big B’s Daughter Shweta Bachchan-Nanda to launch debut novel
She will also be starring in a web series along with Saif Ali Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
Talking about choosing online content, she had earlier said, ”I do not take up roles based on the platform. It is the content and the artists associated with it that matters the most to me.
Projects often get axed because of the risks involved in making a feature film, but I don’t think that is bad. Online platforms like YouTube are abuzz with films and videos dealing with bold and brave topics. And there is also an audience for the same. At the same time, certain films will be seen in theatres only.”
