Even as they await the release of Omerta, filmmaker Hansal Mehta and actor Rajkummar Rao have announced their next venture together – Swagat Hai.

Mehta talked about the film
Announcing the film, Hansal took to Twitter and wrote, “Proud to tell the world a little about #SwagatHain. A collaboration with @RajkummarRao is most special and always challenging.”

The National Award-winning jodi has earlier worked in Aligarh, Shahid and Citylights, besided Omerta.
Swagat Hain will be their fifth film and sixth venture together – Rajkummar featured in the web series Bose Dead Or Alive, which was produced by Hansal Mehta.
Mehta talked about the film in an interview to Mumbai Mirror and said, “Swagat Hain makes a strong statement about freedom of expression, hypocrisy and exploitation of women at the workplace and in personal spaces.”
He further told the tabloid, “It is a little early to reveal any more details on the subject as we are still developing the script. All I can say is that it is inspired by true-life incidents and we are doing something completely new this time.”

Rajkummar is likely to begin shoot for the film in Mumbai soon.
eanwhile, Rajkummar and Hansal await the release of their film, Omerta. The film traces the story of British-born Islamic militant Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh, who is currently in a Pakistani prison for the kidnapping and murder of American journalist Daniel Pearl in 2002.
The film is headed for a box office clash with Umesh Shukla’s Amitabh Bachchan-Rishi Kapoor father-son comedy 102 Not Out on May 4.
