Unlike Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone Ranbir Kapoor says he is not ready for Hollywood film audition.
Ranbir says Priyanka and Deepika are not paid lesser than him;
You might think it’s easy for a Ranbir Kapohan him;or to debut in Hollywood considering he hails from a filmy background and is so versatile as an actor.
But that’s not all that it takes as Ranbir, in interaction with Anupama Chopra, admitted how
he is in fact shy to audition and doesn’t think he will crack a Hollywood film, if at all he auditions for a it one day.
“I am not that confident about myself. I am low on confidence, is I may say so.
And today thankfully I have a body of work that I don’t need to audition.
But if you send me to Hollywood and say audition for this filmmaker, I don’t know if I will be able to be good at it.
So I think it’s a confidence issue and now I am spoilt because I am a working professional.
People have my films to see if this guy can deliver or not.
But yes, I am shy to audition”, said the actor.
So does that mean no Hollywood plans for Ranbir?
Interestingly, Ranbir also mentioned how he doesn’t think Priyanka and Deepika are being paid any lesser than him.
Will King Khan host and perform at Akash-Shloka’s engagement bash?
Bagging a Hollywood film is not easy;
It’s not easy to bag a Hollywood film anyway, irrespective of how popular or bigger star you are in Bollywood.
Like Ranbir mentioned, one needs to audition and wait for that one call.
Unless you have really established yourself in the West! Take for instance Priyanka Chopra in that case.
While she bagged her ticket to Hollywood through a music video.
It was only after she featured in her ABC Network’s TV show Quantico that she became famous out there.
Soon, she then started making several appearances on popular talk shows.
Also joined the likes of who’s who of Hollywood at Met Gala, People’s Choice Awards.
Eventually she’s now become a big name who not just has a TV show to her credit but also a line of work including –
Baywatch with Dwayne Johnson which marked her film debut and two more forthcoming releases –
Isn’t It Romantic and A Kid Like Jake.
If we talk about Deepika Padukone, she debuted opposite Vin Diesel with xXx: The Return Of Xander Cage which fortunately shot up to become a big hit.But of course, before PC and Deepika, we have several other Indian actors who have also broken barriers by working abroad right from Irrfan Khan, Om Puri, Anupam Kher to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Frieda Pinto among others.
