Actress Rani Mukerji has been selected as the chief guest at the 2018 edition of The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne.
The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) Awards 2018, will be held from August 10 to 22.
The IFFM Awards is termed as southern hemisphere’s greatest annual celebration of Indian cinema.
IFFM recently announced, the multi-talented actor and superstar Rani Mukerji as the Chief Guest for this year.
As per the tradition Cheif guest is the one who unfurl Indian National Flag among the public of Melbourne.
She is going to Unfurl the National Flag among thousands of people.
She will be in the company of the High Commissioner of India in Australia and The Mayor of Melbourne.

Last year Aishwarya Rai got this chance to unfurl the Indian Nation Flag at Indian Film Festival of Melbourne.
The stunning actress became the first female actor to hoist the Indian flag at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) this year.
She arrived looking splendid in a Manish Malhotra soft blue and white gown with daughter Aaradhya in tow dressed in a white ghagra choli.

Indian and to be a part of such a prestigious occasion and do the honours outside your nation in a foreign land is
even more special.

Like every year, IIFM will be celebrating Indian Independence week at the iconic landmark.
Nominated for the Best Film Category;
For the Best Film category, “Padmaavat” and Sanju will compete with PadMan, Hichki, Raazi and Secret Superstar.
Telugu films Mahanati, a biopic on actress Savitri and Rangasthalam are also part of the Best Film nominations list.
