Jacqueline Fernandez who is gearing up for her upcoming film ‘A Gentlemen’ on Tuesday in an interview said she chose ‘A Gentlemen’ because of Raj and D.K.
Love the aesthetic sense of Raj and D.K
- Jacqueline was asked why she chose the film ‘A Gentlemen’, she said “When this film came to me I was most excited because Raj and Dk were the directors.
- They seem very fun, I love their aesthetics I loved ‘Go Goa Gone’, I just thought it was something really funny and different and youthful. ‘Shor in the city’ had really nice analytic drama.
- I just felt like they were directors who could do both.
- Working with good directors is very important you can learn a lot from them and I feel like they can extract a lot from you.
- And I feel like I am at the point where I want as much extraction as possible. That’s why I wanted to work with them.
- I thought they would make something real. I like that they mellowed me down a lot and made me more real and relatable as an actor.”
- She further adds, “It’s literally upsetting for me because I have been a part of so many action movies
- but I never get the chance to do anything. Unfortunately, I haven’t been given an opportunity to do a film where I get to do all the action.”
- In addition Jacqueline also spoke about her international film titled ‘According to Mathew’, she said,
- “That will release in September in Sir Lanka.
- It’s an artistic film, its story is very famous in Sri Lanka. It will do a few Film festivals and if it does well there then it will then come here in India.
- A Gentleman directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK starring Sidharth Malhotra,
- Jacqueline Fernandez as lead and Sunil Shetty in a negative role is set to release in August 2017.
