As the Pakistan Government initially restricted releasing of Indian movies for two weeks after two festivals of muslims i.e. Eid-ul-fitr and the ending up of the Ramzan. This led to the possibility of clash between Salman khan’s Race-3 and Ranbir kapoor’s Sanju at the box office in Pakistan.
But the latest news or the good news has made them relief from the clash. Now, the Pakistan Government reconsider its restriction that imposed on them for releasing it only after two weeks of Eid-ul-Fitr by reducing it to one week. That lead to the conclusion that now both the movies have one week gap between their releases.
Danyal Gilani said :
It is clear that imposing two-week restriction is all to promote the Pakistan industry. Danyal Gilani, chairman of Central Board of Film Censors, said on behalf of the Ministry of Information Broadcasting, National History and Literary Heritage that “Keeping in view the importance of local film industry and exhibition facilities, the government has decided that screening of Indian movies shall be restricted for a period of one week in total, starting from Eid day on both Eid ul Fitr and Eid ul Azha.”
Pakistan Box Office :
The last movie released in pakistan box office during eid, Bajrangi Bhaijaan of Salman Khan worked well . According to the recent declaration , there might be a chance that Race-3 will release a week earlier if the distributors will apply permission on time.
Girish Johar in interaction to media:
Indian film trade expert Girish Johar said to the media house; “ I am sure distributors in Pakistan would want the film to come on screens as early as possible after its India release.” He also added, “Ranbir is a top star, and Salman is undoubtedly a mighty star… I am sure fans across the border are waiting as eagerly as Indian fans for both the films”.
