Known as the Sahenshah of bollywood industry, Amitabh Bachchan has promised Army Martyr’s Wives and farmers to help them with their financial condition.
Bachchan Is Involved With Many Social Causes
He donated 11 lakh to clear the debts of nearly 40 beleaguered farmers in Andhra Pradesh and 30 lakh to clear the debts of some 100 Vidarbha farmers.
He founded the Harivansh Rai Bachchan Memorial Trust, named after his father, in 2013.
This trust, in association with Urja Foundation, will be powering 3,000 homes in India with electricity through solar energy.
According to the sources Amitabh has set aside a sum of Rs. 2 crores – Rs. 1 cr for the Martyrs families and Rs. 1 cr for the farmers repayment of loans.
This donation will help in enhancing the Indian army widows and their families, and in the growth of our farmers in India.
