The new poster of Sanju has Ranbir with the long hair, dressed in a vest with a earring. And what gets your attention is the deadly stare in his eyes. Sanjay with that beefed body and long hair was the sex symbol of many girls of the 90’s. We saw that style in so many films like Khal Nayak, Aatish, Safari, Amanat and Andolan. This was the post-drug phase of the actor when he worked out religiously in the gym to build a body like Muhammad Ali. Salman Khan and he are one of the first actors to have a gym at home.

In fact, Ranbir Kapoor has worked out in the same gym.

There is a certain image about him because of the controversies and his imprisonment. Whatever we have shown in the film is an honest portrayal. There is no exaggeration nor is it a propaganda film. It is not like just because we are making a film, we have to show him in a very positive light.”
