Saqib Saleem playing Mohinder Amarnath says Kabir Khan Has Made 83 With A Lot Of Love.
Actor Saqib Saleem, would be seen playing the role of famous Indian cricketer Mohinder Amarnath in forthcoming sports biopic, 83, says filmmaker Kabir Khan has made the film with a lot of love.
’83 is directed by Kabir Khan and chronicles Indian cricket teams’ world cup win in 1983. The film, bankrolled by Reliance Entertainment, starring Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Harrdy Sandhu, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Saqib Saleem, Amrita Puri, Jiiva, Ammy Virk,, Pankaj Tripathi, Sahil Khattar and Chirag Patil, reprising the India national cricket team that won the 1983 Cricket World Cup.
Talking about the film on the sidelines of a launch event, Saqib Saleem said, “I am really excited for 83-the film; it is such a beautiful film. Director Kabir Khan has made the film with a lot of love. I am eagerly waiting for everyone to watch the film, but there is still time for the movie to release”
“Right now, most of our shooting is complete, only little bit is pending. Besides that the film is complete. The post production is going on as we need to depict the era of 1983, so people are working on creating that. I hope when it comes out soon and everyone likes it” he added.
Saqib Saleem also talked about his role and preparation. He added, “I am playing the role of Mohinder Amarnath in the film. Anyone who has followed cricket knows his contribution to 83’ victory. It is a great part, I am really happy that I am playing the part. He is an amazing man; I got to spend a lot of time with him. We both are different people in real life and I had to portray him on-screen, so I was nervous but we got a wonderful team and I was able to de-stress myself and play the role”
The film is slated for 10 April 2020 release.
