Shah Rukh Khan ‘s next movie with Raees director Rahul Dholakia?

Rahul Dholakia’s Shah Rukh Khan starrer Raaes showed us how banned alcohol is sold unlawfully in Gujarat.

The action-drama told the story of bootlegger Raees (Shah Rukh Khan) whose business is challenged and eventually thwarted by a police officer, played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

We love a follow-up of every good and hit film.

It’s perhaps our way of reliving those precious moments.

Shah Rukh Khan‘s Raees is one such film.

Although the actor’s character dies at the end, this nation growing up on Manmohan Desai movies wants to see more especially when Raees Alam has a son.

We hear the producers Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani and director of Raees, Rahul Dholakia, are coming together for a film.

Unfortunately, it’s not Raees part 2 but a completely different film.

The film is on a firefighter called Tukaram who teaches his colleagues how to treat major SOS calls.

There will be a father-son story and a few real-life incidents in the midst of all this along with a formidable antagonist.

So will Shah Rukh Khan be part of it? Dholakia didn’t deny it.

When asked who is he looking for to cast as Tukaram, Rahul said, ” I need a 40-plus actor to play Tukaram.” When informed that one of the producers of the film, Farhan Akhtar is 40-plus, the director hinted, “So, is Shah Rukh and many others.

We will definitely cast an A-list actor but right now both the title and the cast are under discussion.” We might be seeing too much into this but then that’s how hope works, isn’t it?

Talking about what made him come up with a story like this which is pure fiction and nothing else, Rahul Dholakia said. “A series of fires in the city of late makes me believe that it’s time for a film that celebrates these unsung heroes.

For me, the firefighters are on par with cops and soldiers, but their heroics have gone largely unacknowledged even in a city of skyscrapers.

They put their lives on the line every other day to put out and save us from fires which sometimes spark off from our own carelessness and violation of safety norms.

They are also called to pull a child out of a borewell, rescue a kitten from the roof, clear an uprooted tree from the road and help during a building collapse or a deluge.

Even during the 26/11 attacks they played a significant role in the rescues but went unheralded.”

So the question is would like to see Shah Rukh Khan in a film like that?
