Dhadak team has reached the city of lakes, Udaipur with the cast and crew of the Shashank Khaitan directorial. Jahnvi Kapoor and Ishan Khatter have started shooting for Dhadak, an official remake of Marathi blockbuster Sairat. Filmmaker Karan Johar, who is launching the star kids, Jahnvi Kapoor and Ishan Khatter, shared a photo of the lead actors from a picturesque locale of Udaipur and wrote, “The journey of #DHADAK begins today!! JAHNVI and ISHAAN …..@ShashankKhaitan.”
The cast and crew began filming the movie with a pooja in the morning. It has been reported that though the basic premise of the film will be differences in caste, honour killing like the original Sairat, but there will be some adaptation. The story is based in Rajasthan.
Ishaan Khattar has already made in presence count in Udta Punjab and recently released Iranian filmmaker Majid Majidi’s ‘Beyond The Clouds’, which has fetched him the Best Actor for his debut film at the International Bosphorus Film Festival in Turkey.
Janhvi Kapoor is the daughter of legendary actress Sridevi and producer Boney Kapoor. The film was announced when the producer of the film, Karan Johar unveiled the poster of the movie on 15 November 2017. Dharma production also tweeted and shared a picture.
The Marathi film starred Rinku Rajguru and Akash Thosar and the two were highly applauded for their performances.With Karan Johar backing this project, Dhadak is surely a dream debut for the newbies. Karan Johar had launched Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra with Student of the Year in 2012. The film is a co-production between Zee Studios and Dharma Productions and is scheduled to release on July 6, 2018.
The Dhadak team also shared a picture of the script.
Shashank Khaitan is known for directing films like Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania (2014) and Badrinath Ki Dulhania (2017). The film is produced by Dharma Productions and Zee Studios. The film is scheduled to be released on 6 July 2018 in India and overseas.
