Team India pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar tied the knot with his beautiful fiancee Nupur Nagar today.
Bhuvneshwar, who is considered one of the best death bowlers in India, grabbed four wickets each in the two innings of the first Test against Sri Lanka and was named man-of-the-match for bowling India to the brink of victory.
27-year-old Indian cricketer Bhuvneshwar Kumar hails from Uttar Pradesh. The wedding is followed by two reception dinners on the November 26 and 30 in Bulandshahr and New Delhi respectively.
The right-arm bowler got engaged in a ceremony in Greater Noida on October 24. The wedding took place in Meerut and attended by family and close friends.
Bhuvneshwar’s teammates and members of the Board (BCCI) are been invited for reception in Delhi. The Indian team will be there at the time of the reception preparing for their second Test against Sri Lanka. Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, Shikhar Dhawan, Ravindra Jadeja and others are expected to attend the ceremony.
The pictures and videos of the pacer’s wedding flooded social media as the bowler has married his girlfriend in some style. Kumar’s marriage celebrations had started days back and some videos of his mehndi ceremony.
While Bhuvneshwar’s presence will be a big miss in Virat Kohli’s team, it has opened an opportunity for Tamil Nadu all-rounder and one-day skipper Vijay Shankar, who has been roped in as his replacement.
Recalling the time spent with Nupur in the past, Bhuvneshwar posted a couple of photos on his Instagram account. He captioned the picture, “Rewinding and going back to the happy memories, inspires me to fast forward and dream about the amazing future that lies ahead.”
