Kajal Aggarwal (born 19 June 1985) is an India film actress and model. She has established a career in the Telugu and Tamil film industries and has been nominated for four Filmfare Awards South.
In addition to acting, Kajal has done bollywood movies like- Singham and Special 26.
Kajal Aggarwal was born and brought up in a Punjabi family settled in Mumbai.
Her younger sister Nisha Aggarwal is also an actress in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam cinema.
Kajal Aggarwal’s Film Career
Aggarwal made her debut in the Telugu Film Industry and played her first leading role in 2007 in Teja’s Lakshmi Kalyanam.
But did not get good response at the box office.
Her first hit film was the high budget Telugu historical drama ‘Magadheera’ opposite Ram Charan Teja.
In this film she played double roles. The film was directed by S.S Rajmouli.
She was praised for her portrayal of a princess.
Bollywood Carrer-
Aggarwal made her acting debut in the 2004 Bollywood film Kyun ? Ho Gya Na… in which she had a minor supporting role as the friend of Diya.
Then in she appeared opposite Ajay Devgn in the Rohit Shety film Singham in which she played love interest of Ajay Devgn’s character.
Singham film was a hit at the box office.
And she was nominated for two awards for her performance: the Filmfare Award For Best Female Debut and Zee Cine Award For Bemale Debut.
Awards won By Kajal-
She won many awards inluding South Indian International Movie Awards 2013 For Best Actress (critics)- Tamil for film Thuppakki and for Youth Icon of South Indian Cinema.
