The release of Navaniat Singh’s Yamla Pagla Deewana: Phir Se has been postponed to August 31.
The film was initially scheduled for an August 15 release.

During every Independence Day, we witness clashes at the box office.
But this year it was bigger of all as not one or two but three biggies –
Akshay Kumar’s Gold, John Abraham’s Satyameva Jayate and Deol family’s Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se were locking their horns at the ticket windows.
Though many of the industry people were not happy as all three are big ticket films
and they will screen count issues which will affect their box office business.
But it seems that the makers of Yamla Pagal Deewana Phir Se have realized that and has taken a wise decision.
The third installment of YPD has postponed its release date and will now hit the screens on August 31.
It means we will witness Akshay Kumar versus John Abraham on August 15 at the box office.

John and Akshay share a good bond with each other
Interestingly, John and Akshay share a good bond with each other and have worked together in films like Garam Masala, Housefull 2 and Desi Boyz.
Recently when John was asked about Satyameva Jayate clashing with Gold he said,
“Akshay is an actor in Gold and I am an actor in Satyamev Jayate. It’s a producer’s decision from both sides.
It is about Excel Entertainment and T-Series, so I have no say in that at all.
As far as competing with Akshay is concerned, I want to make it clear that he is my senior in the industry.”
He further added:“I love him and I have always wished the best for him and I am sure he also wants best for me.”
Since both are content driven films, it’ll be interesting to see how they will perform at the box office.
