The teaser of upcoming biopic on the life of the Late Chief Minister YSR Reddy, the title of which is Yatra,
was released today and Mammootty has all our attention right from the first impression. Dressing in trademark white clothes like the politician, Mammootty makes a striking entry as YS Reddy.

Mammootty says
“I want to know. and I want to listen.
also I want to visit every house beyond Cuddapah and feel like walking along with the people. I wish to listen to their heartbeats,” he says, as he sets out on a padyatra. “If he succeeds, it would be due to his stubbornness, if he fails, he would be called stupid. But that’s a call I leave history to take,” a voiceover is heard as Mammootty steps out of the house.

Directer of the biopic is Mani V Raghav
Directer of the biopic is Mani V Raghav, Yatra is being made in Telugu, and would be dubbed in Tamil. “It is about a leader who went on a journey. And the subplots are very human about a farmer and a healthcare professional, which anyone can relate to,” Raghav had said in an interview.
The film also stars Rao Ramesh, Anasuya, Posani Krishna Murali, Vinod Kumar and Sachin Khedekar in pivotal roles. Eagerly waiting for December or January when the film hits the screens!
