Bus full of Amarnath piligrims fell in gorge:16 dead 

As per officials reported, 16 pilgrims were killed after a bus full of amaranth pilgrims rolled deep down a nullah. On Sunday, a bus fell deep down a gorge at Ramban districts as it skipped the Jammu –Shrinagar national highway.

Rescue operations underway

• SSP Mohan Lal said the bus skidded off the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, turned turtle and rolled down into the gorge
• 16 pilgrims are killed where as more than 30 are injured.
• Furthermore,The rescue operations are currently underway.
• In addition, the tragedy striked the pilgrimage after the July 10 terror attack.
• A tweet by the Jammu and Kashmir police said 19 people were being airlifted for treatment.
• Over 2 lakh pilgrims have performed the yatra this year which is slated to end on August 7.
