Delhi Police: Chief Minister ND Tiwari’s son Rohit Shekhar Tiwari Was strangled By Wife Apoorva.
The Police further informed that, Apoorva, who was a prime suspect in murder case, smothered Tiwari while he was drunk without anybody’s help, adding that, she will soon be produced before court.
Apoorva was detained on Sunday along with two domestic helps in connection with the case.
Rohit Tiwari was brought dead to a hospital in New Delhi’s Saket area on On April 16.
His autopsy report stated that he died of asphyxia as he was strangulated and smothered.
According to reports, Apporva, daughter-in-law of Late UP and Uttarakhand CM ND Tiwari, was taken for questioning by Delhi Crime Branch on April 21.
She was questioned for three days before she was taken into custody.
On Thursday, the Delhi Police had registered a case of murder into the death of Rohit Shekhar, hours after his autopsy report stated that he died of asphyxia due to strangulation.
The case was later transferred to the Crime Branch for investigation.
On Sunday, Rohit Shekhar’s mother Ujjawla lashed at Apoorva and her parents alleging they had their eyes on his property.
According to a report by PTI, Ujjawla said, “Apoorva’s family wanted to take control of the properties of my both sons — Siddharth and Rohit because this house is nearer to the Supreme Court where Apoorva was practising law”.
