Has Priyanka Chaturvedi quit the Congress in the middle of Lok Sabha Elections 2019?
While there has been no official intimation about the national spokesperson of the party having resigned, her Twitter bio has changed overnight. Priyanka Chaturvedi’s Twitter bio no more carries the designation of ‘INC National Spokesperson’.
In fact, there is absolutely no mention of the Congress party in her Twitter description. This comes right after Priyanka Chaturvedi ‘s tweet lashing out at the Congress party for reinstating people who harassed her.
Two days ago, on April 17, Priyanka Chaturvedi had tweeted, “Deeply saddened that lumpen goons get preference in Congress over those who have given their sweat and blood.
Having faced brickbats and abuse across the board for the party but yet those who threatened me within the party getting away with not even a rap on their knuckles is unfortunate.”

Thereafter, there has been no word from her or any Congress official on her role in the party. Priyanka Chaturvedi has not tweeted anything after this and speculation is rife that her association with the party may have ended.
According to a letter issued by Congress Uttar Pradesh unit, some party workers were suspended as disciplinary action for their unruly behaviour with Priyanka Chaturvedi during a press conference in Mathura.
The letter said the workers expressed regret and requested that they be reinstated. “On Congress General Secretary Jyotiraditya Scindia’s intervention, action taken against you all is suspended,” the letter added.
