ULTRA MARATHON TEAM FLAGGED OFF FOR NEXT DESTINATION FROM AIR FORCE STATION BAKSHI KA TALAB (BKT) IN LUCKNOW
To Commemorate 20th years of ‘Vijay Diwas’, the Indian Air Force is organizing an Ultra Marathon covering a distance of 4500 km from Kargil to Kohima which commenced from Kargil War Memorial, Drass (J&K) on 21 Sep 2019 and will culminate at Kohima War Cemetery, Kohima (Nagaland) on 06 Nov 2019.
As part of the Ultra Marathon, a team comprising 25 air warriors reached at Air Force Station Bakshi Ka Talab (BKT) in Lucknow on 17 Oct 2019.
On arrival at the Station, the team was received by Gp Capt A Raj Thakur, Station Commander, Air Force Station BKT. The team was flagged for next destination on 18 Oct 2019 by Gp Capt A Raj Thakur.
The prime aim of this expedition is to promote awareness of Pedestrian Safety and Swachh Bharat, Swasth Bharat while paying tribute to the brave hearts who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service of the country
