उत्तर प्रदेश में दलितों का गढ़ माने जाना वाला आगरा क्षेत्र लोकसभा चुनाव ( Agra Lok Sabha ) के लिहाज से अहम है । आजादी के बाद से अब तक 16 बार हुए लोकसभा चुनाव में आगरा को एक बार भी महिला सांसद नहीं मिल पाई है ।

आगरा लोकसभा सीट कांग्रेस का गढ़ हुआ करती थी । लेकिन पिछले करीब दो दशकों में इस सीट ( Agra Lok Sabha ) पर भारतीय जनता पार्टी या समाजवादी पार्टी ही जीत पाई है ।
