Ankuram Shiksha Mahotsav is organised jointly with Lucknow Book Fair at Sangeet Natya Academy Gomti Nagar. Major attraction of the joint event is an exhibition and art performances given by children from Govt. primary and upper-primary schools from Lucknow and various other districts such as Basti, Kannuaj, Etawah, Aligarh, Maharajganj, Mathura, Balrampur from the state.
ANKURAM a moment with million dollar dreams
Most of the participatory schools are covered under Ankuram and Ankuram Indradhanush programmes of icareindia, working towards full transformation of government primary schools as model schools of the state, extending an opportunity to dis-advantaged children of equal learning to be as successful as anyone else in their lives. The most important thing is that icareindia has strategically channelized energy and skills of students pursuing higher education, and local youth, to bring about a fundamental change in the society.
The outcome of their efforts is that the local community which historically ignored government schools have inculcated a feeling of ownership vis-a-vis these schools.
The event is organised by icareindia to rekindle the interest of students studying in such schools and to enhance their creativity. The children are living in the moment with their million dollar dreams, regardless of what the future beckons… giggling, playing and dancing. In the ten days event, SATRANGI exhibition show cases outstanding talent in handicraft material made from waste material and paper etc. by the young students from Ankuram covered schools. Paper made jewellery, pen stands, models on environment protection, bachpan bank, zoo, solar system, temple and decorative material etc. are worth of seeing. Atul Kr. Gupta and Alok Ranjan, former chief secretaries Uttar Pradesh were presented to motivate the various stake holders.
The children are also giving their performances on daily basis through SATRANGI performing art platform.
Group performances on Beti Bachao Beti Padhao theme and solo performances are spectacular, hosted by Mr. Jeetesh Srivastava, is attracting significant crowd. Pravir Kumar, a senior IAS chairman revenue board felicitated the children.
Every day panel discussions on topics such as Quality Primary Education, Agriculture and Milk, Digital Initiative, Fitness and Sports, Skill Development, Big Data and Artificial Intelligence etc., of high importance and relevance to youth and guardians are being carried out.
The discussions are carried out in presence of experienced eminent panellists, Dr. Shristhi Srivastava principal Navyug Kanya Mahavidyalya, Dr. Upma Chaturvedi principal Awadh Girls, Agri entrepreneurs Col. S. C. Deswal, Himanshu Gangwar & Raghvendra Srivastava, Ved Prakash addl. commissioner state election commission, Rajesh Triptahi director technical revenue board, Rakesh Pratap Singh founder ewaraj, T. P. Hawelia, Virendra Grover, Manoj Mehrotra etc.
