An NGO working on human rights and women’s issues, Breakthrough organized a ‘stand with me’ meetup on the issue of safer space today in Hotel Levana,Lucknow.
About The sessions organized:
- There were two panels in this program in which the first panel was operating, the senior manager of Breakthrough Media Advocacy Vineet Tripathi said that online or offline will have to make us a safer space.
- For this, we have to change the culture like trolling, and for girls and women, we have to create such space so that they feel secure.
- The second panel was operated by Kritika Prakash, the state head of Breakthrough.

- She said that for making safer space, we all have to take initiative at our level.
- We have to respect the thoughts of others as well as ourselves.
- If there are incidents like Trolling, then we do not have to fear him.
- We have to break our silences and we all have to stand up together and collectively take steps to make space.
- Film actress and TV artist Jaya Bhattacharya said that safer space is a fundamental right and for this, we should talk and come together.
- There is a need to change the point of view of women in various media mediums whether it is TV or film.
- I often have offers to play negative characters, and this character often presents our image in the same way as we do not.

- Social media expert Nikhil Srivastava said that for the change in society, we have to make changes in ourselves. We also have to decide how we are using content online and sharing. All stakeholders must come together to make sefer space.
- RJ Amani said that the change starts from his house. If we want to make Separ space, then we have to tell the children of our household that what is right is wrong and why it is important to respect the thoughts of others.

Uttar Pradesh Police’s ASP and Public Relations Officer Rahul Srivastava said, “We are usually affected by the police. Today the UP Police is using social media.
