La Martiniere Girls’ College has organised the inaugural Farida Abraham Memorial National Debate and Quiz for class XI and XII .
It was inaugurated by the Principal, Mrs. A. Dass by lighting of the candles on Saturday, 25th November, 2017. She requested all teams to give of their best and enjoy the experience.
Twelve schools, six of them from outstation are participating in the event. The topic of the preliminary round of the debate was,’ This house believes that the strong are in greater need of help than the weak’.
” Man has built more walls than bridges” was the topic of the Composite Round in which teams of Shri Ram College, La Martiniere for Girls Kolkata, La Martiniere College Lucknow and La Martiniere Girls College Lucknow are participating.
The best four teams of this round participated in the Composite Round.
Team B ( 2 participants from LMGC and 2 from La Martiniere for Girls (Kolkata)) were winners of the composite round. The motion has been defeated.
The written round of the quiz was also held today. The final rounds of the debate and the quiz will be held tomorrow.
