On 4th November 2017, on the occasion of #GuruNanakJayanti #birth #anniversary celebrated as GuruPurab by the #Sikhs, volunteers of WhoisHussain-India, Lucknow Chapter paid homage to Guru Nanak by jointly organizing the Langar at Gurudwara Yahiyagynj.
Guru Nanak is regarded by the Sikhs and many Langar at Gurudwara Yahiyagynj by volunteers of WhoisHussain-Indiaothers as a Messenger of God, an enlightened Teacher. His message remains timely, relevant, and universal. Today his unifying message of peaceful coexistence with other faiths, cultures, and communities is finding resonance with people and leaders of other #faiths and spiritual traditions.
Langar, the community kitchen at a Gurudwara, serves free #meals to all visitors irrespective of religion, caste or ethnicity. It is an exercise in inclusion and volunteers added the flavor of diversity and tolerance by joining hands with Sikh brothers to celebrate the sacred day with them by serving at the Langar to all comers at the Gurudwara Yahiyagynj.
The experience was enriching and humbling for the team as they were warmly welcomed and profusely thanked for the presence by the organizers as well as the Sikh devotees who thronged the Gurudwara on Guru Purab. It restored faith in the fact that it is indeed love, tolerance and brotherhood which are the corner stones of HopeForHumanity.
