ON RESULTS DAY
To the students who gave their all to these tests and are disappointed with the score, please hear me when I say this is a mere moment.
It does not define you or your educational journey, nor need it hamper your career-path, unless you believe this piece of paper, to reflect what you actually are.
You are so much more.
You know this.
And yes, I am sure you could have scored higher, had things been different.
But they weren’t different.
And you will learn from this in ways you very much need, to get where you are going.
Exams are ridiculously hard for the majority, not just in questioning, but in their whole energy and ethos. It is an outdated system but alas it is all we have.
It will not define you in any way, trust me on this.
People, future employers, business-partners and customers, want to work with YOU. They will care nothing for your results. They will judge you on your hard work and your energy.
They will choose you for YOU.
All you need to do is get there.
And to do that, your self-worth needs to be strong.
That’s the important thing here, because that can affect your whole life.
So, take the knock on your chin, do not let it go past surface-deep.
It is a mere moment.
A blip.
You will have many more.
And that’s ok.
