People of goodwill did not leave a chance to show their tenderness during the pandemic. Vivek Mishra is based in Allahabad . He completed his primery and higher education from Allahabad. Vivek said, “The second wave of COVID-19 may be etched with traumatic memories of suffering, struggle for survival and the pall of death. But it will also be remembered for the spirit of many Indians who came forward to share the distress, agony and mitigate the pain of fellow citizens. From ferrying COVID patients to performing last rites, from feeding the sick and the hungry to coordinating help for oxygen cylinders, beds and medicines, these COVID warriors led by example and restored faith in humanity during the darkest hour of the pandemic”.
Speaking about the initiative, Vivek Mishra told us, “We have a group of 40 people who are working to help the Covid patients in the city. We provide free services like medical consultation, meals, and private vehicles for transportation. Dr Anil Pandey is a member of our group, and he provides free consultation to Covid patients who contact us for help.”
“I always had the zeal to do something for people and society, it came to me as an opportunity when I founded this initiative on twitter and decided to improve capabilities of this team,” he said. Vivek Mishra Founded Team Prayagraj in 2020 since then the organization has been expanding continuously in terms of social development service. It has worked for the promotion of sustainable, equitable and participatory development, social welfare and social justice through: Program for social work, Human Resources Management, Health service and other human service through social research and dissemination of socially relevant knowledge, social intervention through training and field action, contribution to social and welfare policy and program at state, National and International levels .
Vivek lost his father due to covid and next day he attended a zoom meetings with his team mates and told to improve capabilities of the team. He said,” We can’t let our fellow Indians die.”
Not only in India Vivek helped Indian people living abroad. His belief is in the potential power of the poor and Rural people to participate actively in development initiatives within their community, equal opportunity for man and women in society irrespective of class, age, ethnic, culture or religion, All Human Rights for all, In freedom of expression, movement and choice by man and women alike, In social harmony free from communal bias and Freedom for work, education and development. He continuously working for in the field of Education, Health, Child, Women development program and Human Rights, Working with schools and social workers across the India for social development of poor communities for their better future in Education, Health, Agriculture, Environment and Economic development and protect their Human Rights. He organized various medical camps, Health awareness camps, safe drinking water camps and many sanitation and women hygiene related camps.
