Daan Utsav, formerly called the Joy of Giving Week, is a volunteer-driven initiative, launched in 2009.Every year it is celebrated from Oct 2 to Oct 8. It encourages people to donate for various causes. These donations are not just the ones in monetary terms, but anything they want to give happily.
The underprivileged children often lack the facility of a proper playground and end up playing in streets. Swatantra Talim along with volunteers Vani and Shreya , organised a day out for these kids and took them for a proper outing. The kids were hosted by La Martiniere Boys School and there they played cricket and football matches. The children were amazed to see such huge playgrounds.

Enjoyed the day out:
- Swatantra Talim Ramdwari and Aashiana children played cricket and football matches at La Martiniere Boys School, Lucknow.
- The event was organinsed by Saleem and his staff who took special care of the children by taking them safely to the school.
- In addition, Vani Juneja from Team with a dream and Shreya spent time with the kids and had fun and snacks with them.
- The adults, kids and oldies had great fun together.
- The children were totally in love with the proper cricket and football grounds.
- Two children said that they haven’t seen such grounds in their life before.
- The organizers are thankful to the school for hosting them.
- Furthermore, the children then went to KD Singh Babu Stadium and spent time with the players and the staff.
- The organizers invited all to play there with the kids.
- In the evening the Ramdwari children went to have some fun at the Dreamworld Amusement Park.
- Special guidance was given by La Marts Cricket Coach Mr Ashish Shukla.
- He showed his incredible support by spending time with the kids and giving them valuable inputs.
