The Joy of Giving week, or the “Daan Utsav” was being celebrated across the nation. Many activities were organised daily from 2nd Oct to 8th Oct to make people experience the joy of happiness, sharing and helping others. The last day was celebrated with the same enthusiasm .
Day 7 of Daan Utsav this year in Lucknow :
- “Antakshari ” musical day was organised on the last day of Daan Utsav.
- It was a fabulous event that Conducted many games for the underprivileged just to make them happy .
- Furthermore, they sat in a circle and tried to make a smiley.
- Many fun games like musical hula hook were played and the kids also showed their talent.
- Team on spot – Varsha Srivastava , Mayank , Akansh , Suleman , Suryansh ,Shashank and Akriti
- Yes Foundation celebrated daan utsav with Hussainabad community girls .
- There ,they and distributed packs of sanitary napkins during their program “Mahmari nhi mahvari hai, Na Sharm Na bimari hai”.
- This program was to spread awareness and remove the taboo related to menstruation.

A Day in the slums:

The last day of the daan utsac was Celebrated some very good moments at Sudamapuri slum, A. P. Sen road. Different activities were organised by RJ Tulika and other volunteers for different sections of the slums .
- Children section :
• Story telling by Vasudev
• Banana sponsored & distributed by Harshali Shrivastava & her father.
• Packets of biscuits sponsored & distributed by Mr. Anupam Pandey.
• Notebooks/stationary, first aid kits sponsored by students of La Martienier boys. - Ladies section :
• health & hygiene session taken by Jyotsna ma’am.
• Sanitary pads distributed by Vaani.
• Soaps distributed by Shri Anupam Pandey. - Gents section :
• Soaps distribution.
• Clothes get sponsored & distributed by RJ Shivashish.
• Toothpaste & toothbrush packets sponsored by Jyotsna ma’am. - Bananas & rest of the materials were distributed to on-road hawkers/peddlers & rickshaw walas.
- Drinking Water problem & environment cleanliness issues were addressed by Jyotsna ma’am.
