Lucknow:-63 UP BATTALION CELEBRATES ‘WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY’
True to its theme, ‘The World Environment Day’ was celebrated by 63 UP Battalion NCC, Lucknow on 05 June. The day started with planting of saplings in the premises of St Joseph’s College, Ruchi khand where the unit is also organizing a 10 day camp for the NCC cadets. Students from the NGO ‘Innovation for Change’ put up a stellar performance in a cultural event to mark the occasion. A few cadets gave out rousing speeches highlighting the importance of the day. Renowned Singer Mr Sarabjit Singh enthralled the cadets with a melodious number on the theme of environment day.
The CO complemented the performers of the day and duly felicitated the artists. He thanked the IFC for their contribution to the noble cause and augured all the NCC cadets to sensitise the society towards environmental preservation and contribute positively for the cause.
