The 77th Independence Day celebrated with zeal at UP Tourism Directorate
Duty and Progress : Tourism Directorate’s Independence Day Event Reverberates with Development Goals and Service towards the Society
The 77th Independence Day of India was celebrated with great enthusiasm at the Tourism Directorate in Lucknow against a patriotic backdrop. Shri Mukesh Meshram, Principal Secretary of Tourism and Culture, hoisted the National Flag, marking this important occasion.
Following the ceremony, the national anthem was sung, and a pledge to contribute towards India’s transformation into a developed economy by 2047 was taken.
Addressing the guests, Shri Mukesh Meshram said, “In the Amrit Kaal of India’s Independence, let us remember the struggles and sacrifices of our freedom fighters and ensure that the stories of their valour are passed on to coming generations to instil a sense of pride and respect for our hard-earned freedom, heritage, and culture.”
Reiterating the need to fulfil our duties towards the society as responsible citizens and contribute towards making India a developed economy by 2047, he said, “Whether it’s by participating in community initiatives, practising sustainable living, or volunteering for social causes, each one of us has a role to play in shaping the destiny of our beloved nation.”
The event was attended by members of the Directorate, as well as representatives from various sectors of the tourism industry.
